A storm is coming... by yassui A storm is coming... by yassui
I dunno what I was doing with this...

Quick question, if I were to do paypal commissions like this, how much would it be worth?

Starting the second week of October, I'll be free from school for 8 whole months so I might as well do these, finally. I keep on planning these before but never had the right amount of time to work.

I'm not yet 18 to have own account so I guess my mom or brother will just do!

...............Louiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie T____________T So badass.... The purple with yellow... FFFFFFFF perfect
That electricity... THAT SCARF....
I love hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiim T_______T

ahah for me it would be a good thing to begin your commission at 20$-25$ depending on complexity and add 5$ for each extra character (or more if you feel inconfortable doing a group)
But that's so great ;w;

Oh wow, gorgeous artwork as usual. QwQ
Louie looks absolutely stunning as a Jolteon.
Honestly...I think $17-30 would be a decent price range.
I would totally commission you but I can't own an account either. >.<

I would recommend checking the prices of other artists
Personally I love your speed painting style and I think your paintings are worth more than 15-17 dollars

With something like this I say is worth quite a decent amount of money how much is up to you

Other than that this here a great picture and you did an fantastic job on it

The shading and lighting look great and the pose you gave the jolteon has been drawn and placed very well

You can make it however much you like. People associate cost with quality. I used to sell my commissions really cheap, and never got an customers. Then I made them 10x more expensive, and BAM.
phlavours Featured By Owner Sep 18, 2012
Amazing! Nice title too~
Okay, so it really depends on how long you spend on a drawing. Say this took 3 hours, and the minimum wage where you live is $5 an hour (this really isn't realistic btw) then you could charge $15! IDK, really. An artist can charge however much they want and deserve.
Hope that helped! I'd love to commission you sometime maybe c:

I think Paypal is better than points but the issue is that not everyone will have paypal which sucks. I just wish DA would let you convert the points back to money so everyone would be ABLE to pay.

You drew this all wonderfully <3
The pose is epicly awesome and the coloring all matches and you did the sky wonderfully and it all really sets the mood it's amazing~

If anything, cash commissions are the best since you actually get PAID with REAL money so you really should for those who do have paypal and if your mother or brother will allow (I know I tried and asked my mom but she kept on saying she didn't want the internet to know her credit card number >=U)

It would be worth a few bucks because this is TOTALLY something you'd want to put up on a wall <3

AMAZING :iconiloveyouplz:
Haruhi: ECK!! :icondragonshock1plz:

I think you can get at least $15 easily. There are real cheapskates out there so yeah.

This is amazing *___* I would say start lower for now, once you gain more and more popularity you can raise prices! How long did this take you to do? Time factors into prices imo! I would say a base price for this could be around $17-25 depending on complexity!
SkeleVee Featured By Owner Sep 18, 2012  Student Digital Artist
15 bucks, fo' sho~ :3

Dude this is probably worth what the first two commenters said, or more. Its just that DA's main peeps are mostly 13 year olds to young adults so they cant afford to spend much. So you dont get very many real commissioners giving you the real value of your art.
Your art's totally worth it though, honestly. C:

I wish my art was this good ;A;

I'm pretty sure you'll become rich in those 8 months, haha XD
I don't own an paypal account either, although I would love to see my character(s) in your style ;_; Tough I guess.. w`

But well.. you should try to offer them for a price that's fine for you, since you're the only person in this round that knows how much time you've to spend to create such a drawing. And really: Don't sell your stuff below value! D: That's a mistake a lot of Artists are making today, since the normal customers barely understand how exhausting it can be to create drawings (and so they're often not willing to pay proper prices .___.).

Would love to help you making a decision in the price-thingy.. but as I said, I can't estimate it. You've to decide for your own, what you think your art is worth :V

I love it, it's such an vibrant drawing, totally lovely and I damn love the colors (yellow & purple for the win, damn!) XD

I think this looks amazing! Unfortunatly I'm not much about buying commissions, but IF I did I would give around 100kr (around 17$) for something like this.
Bimmerd Featured By Owner Sep 18, 2012  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Very very nice drawing O,O
I think you can easily get around $15-20 for something like this. I'm not that well at putting a price on art but people once told me I could ask $5 for pixel icons and I'm pretty sure these kind of drawings take more time to make.
You can also ask more than than if you have to add more 'characters' in a drawing. So it would also depend on what would be in the drawing.

I think ~$15 is fair for something like this, a lot of people here are cheapskates unfortunately, just keep at it! :)
